My inspiration for drawing and painting came from my father who produced pencil sketches and water colours. This interest was cemented by an encouraging art teacher...
I am about to embark on a series of local Somerset scenes ready for Art Week in May 2007.
John's artwork reflects his growing fascination and skill for portraying people in their various activities of everyday life. His vibrant, highly collectable oil paintings are appreciated for their mood and atmosphere. He has a strong sense of the nuances of light and a rare talent for capturing expression and movement.
John is a popular commission artist, creating portraits, paintings of homes and gardens, animals and local scenes.
Unique handmade enamelled light switches.
Janes Geeson's "Enamelart" specialises in creating kiln fired enamelled light switches. Each one is handmade with attention to detail. They are designed to create small pieces of art for all rooms of the house and in offices and restaurants. In fact, anywhere there is a light switch.
My work tends to be loosley or directly based on the human body - this has neither been a conscious or an exlusive decision.
In an attempt to rationalise what I perceive to be at the center of my visual dialogue - I understand the body to be the only thing we truly own, that we bring into this world, providing me with an evocative and universally understood catalyst with which to investigate my creative concerns.

A painter in the romantic tradition...
This renouned Artist and Author followed a classical path through art schools and travelled widely in Europe and Africa before settling in Wensleydale, England in 1975 - though he still feels he is just arriving at his style - after 33 years!
I began painting in 2001 whilst living in Riga, Latvia, where I enrolled in the Latvia National Academy of Art and studied under Professor Aleksjes Naumovs. In 2003 I moved to Bermuda, where I enrolled in the Fine Arts...
English artist residing in Oxfordshire.
Michelle graduated from both the Rochdale College of Art and Design and the Cumbria College of Art and Design and progressed to become the "Artist in Residence" at Aidans’ School in Cumbria which she followed by gaining her teaching certificate. Michelle still teaches art professionally in her locale and spends a great deal of time producing unique and stunning pieces of work that are exhibited on a regular basis.
She is very much a part of the Oxfordshire community and a very active participant in the Oxford Art weeks.
